Every Beloved Nurtured in Authentic Faith

FPC-Holt

The security of being a beloved child of God is a springboard into a dynamic life of faith on Sunday mornings and throughout the week.
Jump in and join one of our children, youth or adult groups actively seeking God’s best for us and growing into the unimaginable next!

9:50ish until Fellowship Time begins

(10:45ish) on Sunday Morning

Ages 0‐4 : Nursery School with lots of TLC (tender love of Christ!)
Ages 3‐5 : Worship Center gives our pre-K beloveds a sanctuary of their very own
Grades K‐4 : WaterWorks! Using a workshop rotation model, kids focus on one particular Bible story or character on three successive Sundays. Each Sunday allows different learning styles to experience the lesson in ways that are most meaningful to them (kinesthetic, auditory, visual, tactile, etc.)

Youth

10:10ish until 11:10ish on Sunday Morning

Grades 5‐8 : Mid‐High Church School picks up on the WaterWorks focus each month using multi‐sensory experiences geared to a mid‐high mindset.
Grades 9‐12 : Gathering after the sermon each week, Sr. High Church School is a time to “debrief” after the message. What questions were raised? What were the key take‐aways?

Sunday Nights at 5:58pm (and various other days and times!)

Yup — it’s all a part of Youth-in-Action, our ministry for 9th-12th graders!

Join our mailing list today!

Following along at their pace, the Mid-High Youth Connection (MHYC) gives 5th-8th graders a place to get comfortable with the brave new world of middle school and junior high!

Adults

Everyone needs a place to be (and become) the person God calls them to be. Sometimes it breaks down by interest or age or season. Fellowship at its finest!

A Pilgrimage Proposal : True to our Scottish heritage, we are planning an adult pilgrimage to Scotland in the summer of 2019. In addition to some general sightseeing in Edinburgh, the highlight of our trip will be a week’s pilgrimage on the Isle of Iona — the spiritual journey of a lifetime

We have an active Prayer Shawl Ministry that meets once a month to compare notes, share designs, pray and witness to the power of a prayer shawl, prayer square, hat, scarf, mittens, and any number of knitted and crocheted items.

Racial justice has been a pursuit of ours for several years and we’ve approached the topic in different ways. Currently, our congregation is part of a PC(USA) book study on the Debby Irving book, “Waking Up White.” Open to anyone who shares our desire to be part of the solution, we will continue to study groups throughout the year.

“Bridging the Racial Divide Through Worship and the Arts” is an ongoing project in partnership with a local COGIC community that we expect to launch in the fall of 2018.

Bible studies for 2017-2018 include a weekly study by book, a full-year focus on the book of Hebrews, a course that explores the issue of violence in the Old Testament and “Bible 101” who aren’t really sure what “Testament” means!

Presbyterian Women meet monthly and FPC-Holt is blessed to have two groups (called circles). One group meets during the day and one group meets in the evening to allow everyone to participate when it’s convenient for them.

Copper tooling, woodcut printing, pottery…we have a desire to express our worship through art and liturgical arts groups meet at various times during the year to give expression to our God-breathed creativity.
